Australia and New Zealand are very close. Both countries play sports like Rugby League, Rugby, Cricket and Netball which are popular in both countries.
Just wondering whether AFL is played in New Zealand?

I was about to say no, then decided to do a bit of research - turns out I was wrong they do play it.

Wow learn something new everyday. I'm a sport nut and had no idea this was going on, I can't think of any dedicated fields for it which is strange as I have played club sports on almost every field in Auckland not to mention my work which takes me all over the place.
What I can say is it gets no publicity whatsoever on any sports shows/network news/newspapers etc.
We do however get at least 3 live games of AFL on the sports channels in the weekend.

They had a feild setup for it on the way to auckland airport near Onehunga so it must be.
