hey mate...i can answer this question cause i was in your shoes about 2months ago and just moved to new zealand from the states. Im staying queenstown at the moment. 1st go to the immigration website. follow all the guidelines and everything and you should be set. its alot easier for you to move into the country if you have a skill that they are in need of. other than that you can just keep renewing your visa. a flatmate i just moved in with from brazil is on his 2nd renewal. but i honestly think you should leave her for about a year before you just cut all ties with home. living here and vacationing here are two very different animals. ive learned the hard way but all in all still having an awesome time here..hope it works out

cheers

Go to your nearest embassy or consulate. Check N.Z Immigration. The address has been supplied elsewhere. Best of luck. But please do not tell anybody what you are doing. We like our country under populated. Our biggest city is 1.3 million. That's Auckland. There are plans to cut it of from the rest of New Zealand and let it drift out into the Pacific.

Did you know that the Police found a 'P' Lab in the back of the library in Manukau and the locals were really Gobsmaked as they didn't know they had a Library.

Hello this is a bit of info I found on our immigration website, it's about a visa for youth wanting to work here for 9 months. It can be extended from what i've read but I'm not sure on the criteria for extension etc.

Basically on the immigration website it has all the information you could possibly need. You can contact them for more detailed info etc. There are other visa options of course but I thought this one was quite interesting.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Silver Fern policies

The Silver Fern policies are designed to bring young skilled people into New Zealand. The basic requirements are set out below.

Silver Fern Job Search

The Silver Fern Job Search policy allows people to enter New Zealand for nine months to search for skilled employment. There is a limit of 300 places per year.

To be eligible you must be outside of New Zealand, be aged between 20 and 35, and meet all of the qualifications requirements, English language requirements, and have enough funds support yourself during your stay.

The application process and payment will be online. Applicants will have to provide evidence they meet the requirements to an Immigration New Zealand branch for assessment and verification. More about the Silver Fern Job Search Policy.
